Here are twelve works of Alexander’s art, each of which inspired me to create a specific musical response. These make up the collection we called Moonlight In Empty Rooms. Moving video made almost entirely of Alexander’s oil paintings has since been created for each piece of music and is included as a dvd in the double disk set. It is unique and we encourage you to watch the video example at the foot of this page.
“Heidi’s music, to me, opens up a different plane of vision where all of a sudden familiar things acquire a whole new significance, weight and substance. In the process of producing my paintings I get used to them and when I’m finished I can’t always see them as a new thing. Heidi’s music allows me to look at my own work as if for the first time. Nothing compares to that. It is like traveling back in time and hugging your children when they were young, once again. And that is what art is all about.
